Serv3r.net is a dedicated server and VPS hosting company based in Montreal, Canada. Our history and experience in the Quebec web hosting industry goes back almost 10 years. Let us introduce you to the story of our founder Damien Madon.

The story began long before Serv3r.net, in 2009.

At the age of 15, Damien Madon was in his 4th year of high school. He doesn’t particularly excel at school. He’s just a normal student.

Except for one thing: when he gets home, instead of wandering around like any other 15-year-old student, Damien has already been managing his own server administration clients for several months.

At 15, he’d already been learning server administration and IT problem-solving on his own for several years. It only took a few visits to local merchants he liked to land him his first customers.

Even though his business was doing well, especially for his young age, Damien knew he needed a diploma to give credibility to his knowledge. So, after high school, he started taking courses to earn that diploma. By his own admission, “I was only going for the paper”.

Indeed, after 2 years of study, he graduated with top honors. So, in 2012, with his diploma in hand, he officially set up his own IT management company.

After several years at the head of his company, Damien realized that there were several major problems with the hosting providers his customers were using:

• Amnesiac support, too many contacts unable to remember a problem that occurred last week.
• Servers rented from competitors 20x their size, sometimes even lying about the ownership of the servers.
• With servers leased from a competitor, hosting providers are often technically dependent on hosting behemoths.
• Servers that are overflowing with customers, causing performance problems that are difficult for support to admit.

It was for these reasons, and with a determination to do better, that Damien created Serv3r.net: a dedicated server and VPS hosting company with personalized customer service, infrastructure independence with its own servers and a guarantee not to oversell servers.
